Refund and Returns Policy
Thank you for choosing María Alondra’s for your custom cakes and sweet creations. Due to the nature of our products, which are made-to-order, perishable, and tailored to each client, we maintain the following refund and return policy:
Order Commitment & Preparation Time
All our cakes are handcrafted and made specially for each customer based on their selection of size, flavor, fillings, and decorations. Because of this:
- Standard cake orders require at least 5 days of advance notice.
- Custom cakes for events (e.g., weddings, quinceañeras, themed celebrations) require at least 20 days’ notice.
- Once an order is confirmed and preparation begins, no changes, refunds, or cancellations are allowed.
No Refunds on Custom Orders
Because our products are perishable and made to order, we do not offer refunds or returns in the following cases:
- Change of mind after confirmation
- Missed pickup
- Subjective taste preferences
- Minor design differences due to handmade execution
Pickup and Quality Check
All cakes are picked up directly from our bakery.
Please inspect your cake at the time of pickup.
If there is any issue or concern with your order:
- Notify our staff immediately before leaving the premises
- We will document the concern and evaluate the situation accordingly
- If appropriate, a partial credit or future discount may be offered
After pickup, we are no longer responsible for damages related to transportation, storage, or handling of the cake.
Non-Returnable Items
Due to health and safety standards, we do not accept returns on food products. This includes:
- Custom cakes
- Gelatins
- Chocoflans
- Other perishable baked goods
Product Guarantee
Your order will be prepared exactly as confirmed—size, flavor, filling, and decoration—based on the selections made during checkout. No substitutions or additions will be made beyond what was agreed.
